A technology company is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Controller for a temporary maternity leave cover. The role involves managing financial close, payroll, accounts receivable, revenue accounting, and intercompany processes. The ideal candidate has a CPA, 2+ years of experience, and proficiency in NetSuite and US GAAP.
Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial reports and cash flow reports
- Handle payroll-related activities, including payroll analysis, validation, and reconciliation
- Support employee-related financial processes such as onboarding, terminations, and tax forms
- Monitor accounts receivable and manage collections
- Support revenue accounting, including revenue recognition and deferred revenue
- Maintain accurate records of intercompany processes
- Support annual audits and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and consultants
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Controller at a tech startup
- CPA with Big 5 firm experience
- Proven experience applying US GAAP standards
- Excellent level of English (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and multi-tasking skills
