Director of Finance and Compliance

Oversee financial operations, reporting, tax, compliance, and FP&A with an AI-first approach. Own payment compliance including KYB/KYC and transaction monitoring. Report to CFO and drive board and investor reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee external bookkeeping firm managing GL, AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
  • Build AI-generated reporting pipelines for monthly and quarterly financial analysis and annual audits.
  • Lead tax compliance for U.S. and Israeli operations.
  • Drive AI-driven FP&A including forecasting, scenario modeling, and cash flow management.
  • Manage treasury functions including cash flow, AP/AR, expenses, and revenue recognition.
  • Own regulatory compliance frameworks and AI-driven monitoring.
  • Implement internal controls with continuous audit trails and automated exception reporting.
  • Oversee payment compliance operations including KYB/KYC, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years at a Big 4 firm plus 4+ years in controller roles, ideally with promotion.
  • CPA with Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Proven ability to automate financial workflows using AI and measure gains.
  • Strong FP&A experience building models, forecasts, and board reporting.
  • Tech savvy with hands-on implementation of ERP and accounting tools.
  • Startup experience in high-growth environments.

Nice to have

  • Tax and multi-jurisdiction experience across U.S. and international operations.
  • Experience at a Series A through C fintech company.
  • Background in B2B payments, billing, or collections.
  • Experience supporting a Series B fundraise.
