Seeking a Corporate Accountant to lead the accounting department of a public financial services company. Responsible for financial reporting (IFRS), tax, internal controls, budgeting, and team management. Requires CPA and Big4 experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations, including quarterly and annual financial statements per IFRS and securities regulations.
- Lead a team of six accounting staff, including task allocation, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Oversee payroll and tax reporting, including capital compensation and transactions with foreign suppliers.
- Liaise with external auditors and consultants.
- Ensure internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements (SOX).
- Drive process improvement, efficiency, and automation in financial processes.
- Participate in budget preparation, monitor budget vs. actuals, and meet budget targets.
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - mandatory
- Big4 alumnus
- At least 2 years of experience in a public company, familiarity with regulatory and reporting requirements
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and securities laws
- High proficiency in Excel
- Experience in team management
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail, ability to lead processes and work independently
- Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
- High motivation and willingness to work hard
- High level of English
