Own the deep packet inspection pipeline from protocol research to production code. Research network protocols, inspect traffic, and turn raw data into accurate device insights across IT, OT, IoT, medical, and industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Own the deep packet inspection pipeline from initial protocol research through to production code.
- Research network protocols and device behaviors, inspecting traffic and modeling architectures.
- Develop core platform features based on network activity, including protocol parsers and device classification logic.
- Analyze security posture of devices and protocols, identify implementation flaws, and drive responsible disclosure.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and R&D teams, and support customer POCs when needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in network research and traffic inspection.
- 5+ years of Python development on production systems.
- Deep knowledge of network concepts, protocols, and infrastructures across IT and ideally OT/ICS or medical environments.
- SQL and database fundamentals.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to operate on tight schedules.
- Background in cybersecurity.
Nice to have
- Experience building features for large-scale distributed systems.
- Reverse engineering experience including binary analysis and protocol RE with Wireshark/Scapy.
- Familiarity with threat and malware analysis at the network layer.
