Lead the automation quality strategy for a next-gen enterprise storage platform. Own test design, mentor a QA team, and drive root cause analysis for a complex distributed system.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive test automation best practices and coding standards.
- Design system-level test strategies for new and cross-cutting features.
- Mentor QA engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with R&D and product to influence testability early in development.
- Own release sign-off and quality decision authority.
- Investigate complex, hard-to-reproduce issues in distributed systems.
Requirements
- 10+ years developing automated tests for integrated SW/HW products.
- Strong Python programming skills with production-quality code.
- Deep understanding of multi-service distributed systems and failure propagation.
- Proven ability to lead or technically mentor an automation/QA team.
- Excellent diagnostic skills for non-deterministic failures.
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Background in enterprise storage (SAN/NAS/Object).
- Experience with file protocols (SMB/NFS) or object storage (S3).
- Linux internals and networking knowledge.
- Familiarity with storage concepts (replication, snapshots, RAID).
