Join a remote-first cybersecurity company as a Senior Software Engineer specializing in quality and CI engineering. You will audit and improve test coverage, standardize CI/CD pipelines, and build shared test tooling to elevate engineering standards across multiple products.
Responsibilities
- Audit current test coverage and CI pipelines across products to identify gaps and define a prioritized roadmap.
- Define and implement a cross-product test strategy covering unit, integration, end-to-end, and contract testing.
- Consolidate and standardize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, introducing quality gates.
- Build shared test tooling, templates, and libraries for product teams.
- Introduce performance and load testing practices and establish baselines.
- Define and enforce standards for test reliability and pipeline speed.
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to embed quality practices.
- Evaluate new testing, CI/CD, and AI-assisted engineering tools.
Requirements
- 7-12 years of software engineering experience with a focus on quality engineering and CI/CD.
- Deep expertise in test strategy and architecture.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines at scale.
- Comfortable with TypeScript/React, Node.js or Java, and Python.
- Experience with modern test tooling (Playwright, Vitest, Jest, Cypress, mutation testing, contract testing, static analysis).
- Strong understanding of software quality metrics.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a remote-first, async culture.
- Autonomy and ownership mindset.
Nice to have
- Experience with performance/load testing tools (k6, Gatling, Locust).
- Hands-on use of AI-assisted test generation tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, LLM-based test scaffolding).
- Open-source contributions or maintainership.
- Experience rolling out quality standards across large engineering teams.
- Cybersecurity domain knowledge.
