We are looking for an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated tests for mobile applications and APIs. You will contribute to existing frameworks, expand test coverage, and work closely with experienced engineers. Ideal for candidates with up to 2 years of experience in automation, proficient in Java or TypeScript, with hands-on Appium or willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated tests for mobile applications and APIs within established frameworks
- Contribute to test automation for features under guidance of senior engineers
- Build and maintain mobile UI automation using Appium
- Develop and expand API test coverage
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor execution
- Investigate test failures, perform root-cause analysis, and report defects
- Validate system behavior using SQL and NoSQL databases
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding standards
- Share progress and collaborate with team members
Requirements
- Up to 2 years of experience in automation development
- Proficiency in Java or TypeScript, with willingness to learn the other
- Hands-on experience with mobile UI automation (e.g., Appium) or strong willingness to learn
- Exposure to API testing and building basic test cases
- Solid understanding of OOP, web/mobile fundamentals, HTTP, JSON
- Familiarity with test design patterns (Page Object Model)
- Proficiency with SQL, Git, and CI/CD concepts
Nice to have
- Exposure to MongoDB or NoSQL data querying
- Experience with Selenium or other UI automation tools
- Familiarity with REST API testing tools (e.g., Postman)
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
