Field Application Engineer
Join a semiconductor AI company as a Field Application Engineer. Provide pre-sales technical support, conduct training, and collaborate with engineering to deliver innovative neural processing solutions. Requires strong customer skills and deep technical expertise in machine learning and embedded systems.
Responsibilities
- Work with Sales to position and sell the company's products
- Defend the unique architecture and its advantages compared to other edge AI IP solutions to customers
- Work with customers during evaluations to install the SDK and algorithms and analyze customer systems to determine the best HW/SW solutions
- Analyze technological problems brought in by customers and communicate with engineering for the best solution
- Set up regular technical discussions with customers to help them understand deliverables, and resolve customer issues with engineering support as well as conducting regular follow-up and monitoring
- Deliver periodic training sessions
- Coordinate with the Sales and Engineering teams in formulating the product specifications according to the customer's needs
- Conduct project feasibility studies
- Some travel required (internationally to U.S. California headquarters occasionally for training, and within the region as necessary)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering and/or Computer Science field and 5+ years experience in engineering
- Minimum 3+ years experience working directly with customers in support of Sales or Business Development activities
- Must be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of software perception systems, and/or Computer Vision
- Fluent in Hebrew & English
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience describing, building, running and deploying Docker containers
- Experience with Linux or Unix based operating systems
- Experience with at least one of the following neural network/machine learning frameworks: PyTorch, Tensorflow, Tensorflow-Lite
- Solid understanding of intermediate git concepts such as branching, rebasing, merge conflict resolution, etc.
- Solid understanding of semiconductor development process (RTL, GDS, ASIC, etc.)
- Ability to methodically debug problems, relay information to the engineering team, and test and deploy system updates and upgrades
Nice to have
- Experience quantizing, running and debugging neural networks with ONNX runtime
- Experience selling/supporting semiconductor intellectual property (IP)
- Experience supporting parallel C / C++ languages (CUDA, OpenVX, NEON, etc.)
