Thermal Engineer
Design advanced thermal solutions (air/liquid cooling) for high-power electronics. Perform thermal simulations, build prototypes, and collaborate with engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced thermal solutions (air and liquid cooling) for high-power electronic systems.
- Perform detailed thermal simulations (steady state & transient) and optimize thermal layouts.
- Support design reviews and build proof-of-concept prototypes for new technologies.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and system engineers across the development cycle.
- Conduct hands-on experiments and thermal testing using advanced lab equipment.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in thermal design of electronic products or thermal systems.
- Solid understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
- Experience with thermal simulation tools such as Ansys Icepak, FloTHERM, Celsius EC, COMSOL, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex thermal concepts in English.
Nice to have
- Experience designing liquid cooling solutions (cold plates, pumped loops).
- Understanding of CFD/FEA theory and design optimization techniques (DOE).
- Familiarity with mechanical CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo) and DfM principles.
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods for heat exchangers and heat sinks.
