Own the mechanical-thermal design of next-generation ML accelerators, from add-in cards to full rack integration. Lead design reviews, debug production failures, and drive manufacturing with ODM partners. Require 8+ years in mechanical/thermal engineering for electronics.
Responsibilities
- Own mechanical-thermal design of ML sleds and racks, including cooling solutions and structural challenges.
- Lead and review mechanical and thermal design by ODM partners and component vendors.
- Debug mechanical and thermal failures in production data centers, driving root-cause analysis.
- Design and execute experiments in the lab, from DOE through measurement and corrective action.
- Travel to manufacturer sites to monitor project kickoffs, bringups, and manufacturing lines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in industry-standard CAD and FEA design tools.
- 8+ years of experience as a Mechanical and/or Thermal design engineer in the electronics industry.
Nice to have
- Proficient in leading CAD software (Siemens NX, Inventor, or Creo) and ECAD-MCAD collaboration tools.
- Experience with mechanical drawings, GD&T, and tolerance analysis methods.
- Knowledge of industry standards: Ethernet, PCIe, OCP, JDEC.
- Familiarity with fiber optic and copper cabling standards and testing equipment.
- Experience designing products for ML/HPC and data center applications.
- Experience with liquid cooling solutions, from cold plate to rack level manifolds.
