Seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead device-related mechanical design and development for medical devices. Responsible for the entire product lifecycle from concept to commercialization, including assembly line development, supplier management, and design verification. On-site role in Israel.
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and development of medical devices, including test and assembly fixtures.
- Develop assembly lines and manage design transfer activities.
- Select and manage suppliers and subcontractors.
- Lead engineering documentation and DHF management.
- Participate in pre-clinical testing, design reviews, and V&V activities.
- Support hardware-mechanical integration and micro-mechanical assembly processes.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
- 5+ years of medical device development experience.
- Thorough understanding of Product Development Process, Design Controls, and DHF management.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Onshape.
- Knowledge of plastic/polymer mold design.
- Experience with mechanical design of complex structures.
- Experience with 3D printing technologies.
- High level of English proficiency.
Nice to have
- Deep knowledge of intravascular catheter design and construction.
- Experience with Nitinol tube laser-cutting and FEA.
- Experience with custom balloon designs and micro-lumens.
- Know-how of micro interconnect technologies.
