Develop and optimize firmware features for NIC and switch systems, working across embedded processors, networking stacks, and hardware-software interfaces in a performance-sensitive environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement firmware features for NIC and switch systems
- Debug embedded systems and understand networking technologies and stacks
- Characterize and optimize firmware performance, robustness, and flexibility
- Work across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries
- Support the maintenance, qualification, and release of complex software projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer or electronics engineering, or equivalent experience
- More than 8 years of embedded systems design experience
- Experience with data-plane processors such as DSP, ARM, PowerPC, MIPS, or similar
- Proficiency in C programming in performance-sensitive environments
- Strong understanding of hardware-firmware interaction and hardware-software partitioning
Nice to have
- Experience with firmware design and verification
- Familiarity with peripheral and network protocols
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
