Senior Firmware Engineer
Responsible for architecting and developing firmware and microcontroller subsystems for complex SoC and systems products. Key role in implementing major differentiating features, collaborating with logic designers, and developing C-language SDKs for system management. Customer-facing to ensure needs are met. Requires strong EE/CS background and 5+ years of experience in server/storage/networking applications.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop firmware and microcontroller subsystems for SoC and systems products.
- Implement major differentiating features of the products.
- Collaborate with logic designers to architect and verify hardware-software interfaces on complex SoCs.
- Develop C-language software development kits (SDKs) for system management controllers.
- Serve as customer-facing representative to ensure customer needs are fully comprehended.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting or developing complex SoC/silicon products for Server, Storage, and/or Networking applications.
- High proficiency in C (preferred) or C++ with C-based SDK development.
- High proficiency in Python for automating pre-processors/post-processors and firmware QC.
- Working knowledge of software/firmware build environments (gcc, Make, Doxygen, GitHub).
- Hands-on experience with Server, Storage, and/or Networking equipment.
- Familiarity with SoC interfaces to IP blocks (PCIe, DDR, NVMe, AMBA/AHB, etc.).
- Direct experience with high-speed interfaces in Data Center equipment (PCIe Gen-3+, 100/400G Ethernet, InfiniBand, DDR, NVMe, USB).
- Authorized to work in Israel.
Nice to have
- Experience developing firmware for on-chip microcontrollers and C-language SDKs for system management controllers.
- Experience developing embedded firmware for PCIe or Ethernet Switch products.
- Experience with industry forums and collaboration workgroups such as OCP and OpenBMC.
