Join the platforms team to develop embedded firmware (C/C++) for custom silicon, participate in board and chip bringup, and ensure fleet readiness at scale. Work at the intersection of hardware and software, from first silicon to production.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++ for platform components and host MCUs.
- Participate in board and chip bringup, from early silicon validation to production readiness.
- Develop boot loaders, drivers, and RTOS-based firmware for multi-core ARM devices.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on board design validation using schematics and lab equipment.
- Create firmware flows for fleet testing, monitoring, and operational events.
- Contribute across the full platform lifecycle, from prototype to high-volume production.
- Work cross-functionally with silicon, platform, and fleet health teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- 4+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and low-level driver development.
- Solid understanding of hardware-software interactions and system-level design.
Nice to have
- Experience with modern multi-core ARM devices.
- Knowledge of HW/SW interfaces (I2C, SPI, DRAM, PCIe).
- Experience with driver development and boot loaders.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and use lab debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
- Experience with RTOS development.
