Join a cutting-edge medical device startup developing minimally invasive surgical robotics. Design and implement embedded software infrastructure, modules, and drivers. Work with bare metal and RTOS, develop test tools, and lead projects. Requires 5+ years in embedded SW, C/C++, and electro-mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with other teams to develop proofs of concept.
- Design and implement embedded software infrastructure, modules, and drivers.
- Build test tools to aid development and validation.
- Lead and deliver projects, including resource estimations and timelines.
- Mentor other team members.
- Participate in and lead design and code reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in embedded software development.
- Advanced coding ability in C and C++, object-oriented design, and software debugging tools.
- Experience with bare metal and RTOS on embedded systems.
- Familiarity with wired communication interfaces (USART, I2C, SPI, USB) and peripherals (TIM, DMA, GPIO, ADC).
- Experience with electro-mechanical systems, robotics, or closed-loop motor control.
- Familiarity with hardware debugging tools: oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter.
- Proficiency with source control (git or equivalent).
- Knowledge of software design methods and documentation using flow charts, UML sequence, and state machines.
- Ability to read and understand hardware schematics.
- Ability to work both in a team and independently.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
