A hands-on technician role in an autonomous defense technology company. Build, test, and iterate electromechanical prototypes, operate 3D printers and CNC machines, perform soldering, and support field testing. Collaborate with R&D engineers to accelerate hardware development cycles.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electromechanical components, prototypes, and test systems
- 3D print parts using FDM/SLA printers from engineering files
- Operate CNC machines to mill carbon fiber plates and composites
- Design simple 3D-printed or CNC-machined solutions
- Provide technical support to field-testing teams with adjustments and repairs
- Perform soldering and basic electronics work
- Troubleshoot failures and participate in Root Cause Analysis
- Collaborate with R&D engineers, PMs, and testing teams
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in electromechanical assemblies
- Ability to read and work from eDrawings
- Strong technical aptitude with attention to detail
- Problem-solving mindset with improvisation and creative thinking
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Service-oriented with can-do attitude under pressure
Nice to have
- Experience with 3D printing and operating 3D printers
- Experience with CNC machining or milling
- Background in electronics and soldering
