Experienced mechanical engineer needed to design mechanical and thermal management solutions for defense products. Lead development from concept to production, work with cross-functional teams, and support existing systems.
Responsibilities
- Design mechanical and thermal management solutions for existing and next-generation systems
- Design structures to withstand static and dynamic loads per military standards
- Lead product development from concept to mass production
- Provide ongoing engineering support including ECOs
- Perform mechanical design using CAD and simulation tools; conduct lab testing
- Design and build test fixtures and proof-of-concept setups
- Work on diverse engineering projects and technical challenges
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design and electronic packaging
- Knowledge of manufacturing technologies: machining, sheet metal, enclosure design
- Experience in cross-functional teams with Systems Engineering and Electronics
- Hands-on experience with assembly and testing of mechanical systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills
- Good command of English
Nice to have
- Experience with PLM and PDM systems
- Experience with thermal and dynamic analyses using FEA tools
