Hardware Team Lead
Lead the hardware engineering team responsible for multi-sensor underground mapping systems from prototype through manufacturing. Oversee board design, power integrity, RF, and sensors, setting standards and managing external partners to ensure quality and testability.
Responsibilities
- Lead, grow, and hire the hardware team
- Make technical calls on hardware design across platforms
- Set engineering standards for schematics, layout, power integrity, EMI, component selection, design reviews, and revision control
- Take designs from prototype through design freeze to manufacturing, ensuring testability, documentation, and reproducibility
- Own outsourced hardware by setting requirements and reviewing deliverables from external design houses and suppliers
- Own testability, ATP, and calibration for mature designs, providing NPI with complete packages (BOMs, assembly/test docs, calibration procedures, jig requirements)
- Work with NPI and suppliers on DFM, DFT, yield, and ECOs
- Run root-cause investigations on field and reliability issues and drive fixes
- Collaborate with System, Mechanical, Signal & Sensor, Embedded, and NPI teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 7-10 years of hardware/electronics engineering experience (analog and digital board design, layout, bring-up, debug)
- 2-3 years managing hardware or multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Experience taking hardware to manufacturing, not just prototype
- Hands-on proficiency with Altium
- Experience directing and managing external design houses or hardware suppliers
- Systems mindset, comfortable working across embedded, mechanical, and sensing
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Hebrew and English
Nice to have
- Experience scaling hardware from low-volume prototypes to volume manufacturing
- Background in sensing, RF/EM, or other signal-intensive systems
- Experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment
