Manage and lead a team of embedded software engineers at a MedTech R&D center, developing a next-generation clinical monitoring platform. Role involves 20-40% hands-on C++/Embedded Linux development and team management, reporting to R&D Director.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 3 embedded software developers (local and remote) with plans for expansion.
- Balance 20-40% hands-on software development with team management and technical leadership.
- Design and develop software for a next-generation clinical monitoring platform from concept to production.
- Develop in C++ on Embedded Linux, managing hardware-software interfaces and low-level drivers.
- Serve as team representative in global forums and collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Software Team Lead or Technical Lead.
- 5+ years of hands-on C++ software development experience.
- Deep experience with Embedded Linux development.
- Proven experience with microcontrollers and low-level hardware-software interfaces.
- Ability to work independently with strong leadership and English communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in Medical Devices (ISO 13485 / IEC 62304) or other regulated industries.
