Software Engineer
Seeking a junior software engineer to build software for autonomous drone systems, including on-board C++ (ROS2), backend services, and operator tablet frontend. Responsibilities span validation, simulation, and field deployment in agricultural settings.
Responsibilities
- Develop on-board C++ software (ROS 2, NVIDIA Jetson) for mission assignment, self-test, autonomous work, low-battery return, and resume-from-progress.
- Build backend services (Node/TypeScript) for site/mission persistence, fleet state, fault classification, and battery-swap lifecycle.
- Develop operator tablet frontend with severity-sorted ticket queue, live lane view, and one-tap confirm/override.
- Own validation: deterministic simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and real field testing.
Requirements
- Strong production C++ (modern C++17/20).
- Shipped backend services and a frontend used by real users.
- Proficiency with Linux: systemd, networking, containers, log analysis.
- High GPA from a strong CS/EE/software engineering program.
- Willingness to perform field work in Israeli vineyards 1–3 days a week during peak season.
