Design and implement scalable microservices and React-based user interfaces. Own features end-to-end, work with event-driven architectures, and contribute to cloud infrastructure on AWS. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful commerce solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices with strong API contracts.
- Own features end-to-end, from requirements clarification to monitoring and iteration.
- Contribute to event-driven architecture by publishing and consuming events and ensuring reliability patterns.
- Work within a Scala-based monolith, applying pragmatic refactoring.
- Design and manage MongoDB and other data stores for scale and performance.
- Operate within AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring observability and operational readiness.
Requirements
- 3+ years building server-side applications with Node.js and TypeScript using frameworks like NestJS or Express.
- 3+ years building user-facing features with React and front-end architecture.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), including schema design.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices integration patterns.
- Feature ownership experience: independently driving projects from design to delivery.
- Experience with state management (Zustand preferred) and building testable UI flows.
- Fluency in English and experience with global teams.
Nice to have
- Event infrastructure experience: hands-on with Kinesis, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Kafka, including retries and idempotency.
- Experience with design systems and reusable UI patterns (Material UI preferred), including atomic design.
- Familiarity with modern development practices: testing, CI/CD, code quality, observability.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools effectively.
