Design and implement scalable microservices and React-based user interfaces. Own features end-to-end, work with event-driven architectures, and contribute to cloud infrastructure on AWS. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful commerce solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable microservices with strong API contracts.
  • Own features end-to-end, from requirements clarification to monitoring and iteration.
  • Contribute to event-driven architecture by publishing and consuming events and ensuring reliability patterns.
  • Work within a Scala-based monolith, applying pragmatic refactoring.
  • Design and manage MongoDB and other data stores for scale and performance.
  • Operate within AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring observability and operational readiness.

Requirements

  • 3+ years building server-side applications with Node.js and TypeScript using frameworks like NestJS or Express.
  • 3+ years building user-facing features with React and front-end architecture.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), including schema design.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices integration patterns.
  • Feature ownership experience: independently driving projects from design to delivery.
  • Experience with state management (Zustand preferred) and building testable UI flows.
  • Fluency in English and experience with global teams.

Nice to have

  • Event infrastructure experience: hands-on with Kinesis, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Kafka, including retries and idempotency.
  • Experience with design systems and reusable UI patterns (Material UI preferred), including atomic design.
  • Familiarity with modern development practices: testing, CI/CD, code quality, observability.
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools effectively.
