Build and lead custom Shopify solutions for global brands and emerging ventures on a fully remote engineering team. Develop themes and applications, integrate third-party services, and deliver scalable, accessible, high-performance storefronts.
Responsibilities
- Develop custom Shopify themes from the ground up
- Translate UI/UX designs into responsive, pixel-perfect storefronts
- Architect, develop, and maintain custom Shopify applications
- Optimize storefront speed, performance, SEO, responsiveness, accessibility, and scalability
- Design and implement Shopify integrations with third-party APIs and services
- Contribute to scalable technical architecture and engineering decisions
- Collaborate with designers, strategists, product stakeholders, and engineers
- Participate in version control, code reviews, CI/CD, testing, and deployment workflows
- Keep current with Shopify APIs, tools, platform capabilities, and ecosystem updates
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional front-end or full-stack development experience
- Significant hands-on experience building Shopify solutions
- Strong expertise in Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+, and modern front-end development
- Experience creating custom Shopify themes from scratch
- Experience developing private and public Shopify apps with Node.js, React, or comparable technologies
- Strong understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs and third-party integrations
- Knowledge of storefront performance optimization, responsive design, SEO, and scalable Shopify architecture
- Experience with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and drive projects independently
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
