Senior Frontend Infrastructure Engineer responsible for building and evolving frontend infrastructure, shared tooling, and engineering foundations across multiple brands. Focus on performance, CI/CD, observability, and experimentation. Requires 5+ years frontend experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve frontend infrastructure, shared tooling, and reusable components for multiple brands
- Improve frontend performance using SSR, caching strategies, and request middleware
- Drive Core Web Vitals and performance initiatives at scale
- Own frontend CI/CD pipelines and release processes
- Establish monitoring, observability, and incident response practices
- Build experimentation, feature flagging, and controlled rollouts
- Lead cross-functional technical initiatives with engineering, product, QA, data, and DevOps teams
- Act as technical owner for strategic frontend infrastructure initiatives
- Provide technical guidance through code reviews and knowledge sharing
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on frontend development experience
- Strong expertise in React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Deep understanding of modern frontend architecture and build systems
- Experience building reusable infrastructure and developer tools
- Strong experience with Next.js features (SSR, SSG, ISR, middleware)
- Strong experience with frontend CI/CD processes
- Hands-on experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, Cypress)
- Familiarity with backend concepts (Node.js, API performance, CDN)
- Experience with AI-powered development tools and workflows
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to have
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Google Analytics)
- Familiarity with experimentation platforms and data-driven decision making
