Senior Frontend and UX Engineer
Design and develop intuitive, accessible user experiences and frontend applications for advanced AI and analytics solutions supporting scientific and pharmaceutical R&D workflows in Israel.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, workflow observation, journey mapping, usability testing, and structured feedback collection
- Translate complex scientific and operational workflows into wireframes, prototypes, and functioning frontend applications
- Design conversational and task-oriented human-AI interactions, including review, approval, feedback, attribution, uncertainty, and error recovery
- Build responsive and accessible interfaces and connect them to APIs, backend services, and AI workflows
- Iterate rapidly from early concepts to production-ready applications using direct user evidence
- Establish user-centred design practices and reusable interface patterns for AI-enabled applications
- Collaborate with scientists, business stakeholders, AI engineers, software engineers, designers, accessibility specialists, and enterprise IT teams
- Explain design decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human-computer interaction, interaction design, computer science, software engineering, digital design, or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in UX design, frontend engineering, product design, or user-facing digital application development
- Strong portfolio demonstrating complex workflow translation into intuitive interfaces and functioning digital products
- Hands-on experience with user research, workflow observation, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing
- Strong frontend development skills with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern framework such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Ability to translate designs into frontend applications and integrate APIs, backend services, and data-driven components
- Experience designing complex, data-intensive, scientific, analytical, or enterprise applications
- Understanding of human-AI interaction, non-deterministic outputs, conversational workflows, oversight, source attribution, uncertainty, and error recovery
- Experience with human-in-the-loop workflows, review processes, approval mechanisms, or decision-support interfaces
- Familiarity with responsive design, accessibility standards, component libraries, design systems, and frontend testing
