Full Stack Next.js Developer

Own the full stack Next.js customer-facing marketplace and MMS. Drive discoverability with SEO and GEO. Optimize performance and conversion. Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full Next.js application, client and server side, including App Router, server components, server actions, API routes, caching, and rendering strategy.
  • Own the user experience across consumer marketplace, MMS, and reporting tools, with the marketplace held to the highest bar for design and speed.
  • Drive discoverability and conversion through technical SEO, GEO, conversion flows, and personalization.
  • Own web performance, Core Web Vitals, load speed, and rendering.
  • Ship features end to end, from spec and architecture through deployment and monitoring.
  • Own the data layer behind interfaces, including complex SQL, query performance, and how the frontend reads from and writes to Postgres, sharing the core data model with the backend team.
  • Partner closely with Product, who own the spec, funnel, and conversion goals, and push back when the logic or architecture has a blind spot.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on full stack Next.js in production, both client and server side.
  • Strong eye for UX/UI on customer-facing web, with shipped public-facing sites for external users.
  • Strong technical SEO instincts and understanding of GEO and AI-driven search.
  • Conversion rate optimization and analytics instinct, with experience instrumenting events and funnels.
  • Solid grasp of web performance, accessibility, and modern frontend architecture.
  • Strong relational database skills on PostgreSQL or similar, including complex SQL by hand (joins, aggregations, window functions, indexing, query tuning).
  • Real engineering foundation under AI, able to read, review, and overrule agent-generated code.
  • Advanced, daily use of Claude Code as an orchestration tool.
  • Python and Django familiarity.
  • Shippable work to demonstrate, including GitHub and live links.

Nice to have

  • Azure, Docker, and CI/CD experience.
  • Internationalization and localization, including right-to-left layouts.
  • Design system and Figma fluency.
  • Experience in B2B2C, travel, fintech, loyalty, or e-commerce.
