Senior DevOps Engineer
Architect and build a self-service, scalable platform on GCP and Kubernetes. Drive infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, GitOps, and observability practices to deliver high-velocity, reliable services.
Responsibilities
- Enable self-service: Build secure, automated pathways to accelerate development while maintaining organizational standards.
- Architect modular solutions: Design Kubernetes-native abstractions (controllers, operators) and decouple infrastructure into independent service lifecycles.
- Everything as code: Treat infrastructure, policy, and configuration like application code—versioned, reviewed, tested, and CI-gated.
- Proactive reliability: Own production systems, define SLOs, implement robust observability, and lead blameless postmortems.
Requirements
- Strong production-scale GCP experience (GKE, IAM, networking, Cloud SQL/BigQuery).
- Kubernetes-native mindset with a platform-engineering approach to self-service and separation of concerns.
- Everything-as-code discipline with versioned, reviewed, tested, CI-gated delivery (Terraform, Helm, GitOps/ArgoCD).
- Software engineering ability in Go and/or Python.
- Security-first design: least-privilege IAM, secret hygiene, policy and supply-chain gates.
- Production-first mindset with focus on reliability, observability, and recoverability.
Nice to have
- Policy-as-code (OPA/Conftest, Kyverno) and CI security tooling.
- SLO/error-budget practices and DORA-based delivery measurement.
- Multicloud experience (AWS/Azure).
- Big Data or MLOps exposure (Airflow, Dagster, Ray, Kubeflow).
- Experience with AI-assisted and spec-driven development.
