Responsible for engineering and supporting infrastructure for capturing, retaining, and archiving electronic communications in a highly regulated environment. Combines Windows, SMTP, Python, SQL, networking, and Proofpoint Enterprise Archive.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and enhance SMTP messaging transport services.
- Manage Windows Server and IIS infrastructure for regulated messaging.
- Develop Python automation, integrations, and operational tools.
- Design and oversee messaging retention and archiving solutions.
- Configure and test Proofpoint Enterprise Archive.
- Implement compliance and retention governance frameworks.
- Lead integrations with Microsoft Teams, Symphony, Bloomberg, and others.
- Plan capacity, scalability, and operational resilience.
- Act as escalation point for complex technical incidents.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Windows SMTP forwarding and email archiving.
- Hands-on Windows IIS SMTP configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Proofpoint Enterprise Archive.
- Strong Python skills for automation and integrations.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and relational databases.
- Strong Windows Server administration knowledge.
- Understanding of firewalls, networking, and secure SMTP connectivity.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and product teams.
