Systems Analyst responsible for analyzing business and functional requirements, writing technical specifications, and supporting development and testing of mainframe banking systems using COBOL, DB2, SQL, and Swagger.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business and functional requirements, translating them into specification documents and development guidelines.
  • Define changes and developments in Mainframe (MF) environment using COBOL and DB2.
  • Collaborate with developers, business users, and product managers to formulate and implement solutions in new and existing systems.
  • Read and understand COBOL code independently in MF environment.
  • Write technical specifications, programmer instructions, and Swagger documentation.
  • Write complex SQL queries for data retrieval, updates, and investigation.
  • Support development and testing tasks, including post-production support.
  • Participate in DR meetings and assist in investigating and handling malfunctions.
  • Work on systems and services in the fields of direct banking, customer identification, permissions, digital services, and modernization of legacy systems.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in specification, system analysis, and test support in development tasks.
  • At least 4 years of experience in writing specification documents, technical specifications, and programmer instructions.
  • Practical experience in Mainframe environment and familiarity with development methodologies.
  • Ability to independently read and understand COBOL code in MF environment.
  • Experience in defining changes and developments in MF systems.
  • Experience with DB2.
  • Experience writing Swagger.
  • Experience in planning and writing complex SQL for data retrieval, updates, and investigation.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Microservices.
  • Experience with JIRA.
