Lead and grow a software engineering team, taking end-to-end ownership of development for medical device platforms, cloud services, and next-generation products. Drive backend (C++) and frontend (React) systems in a regulated environment, ensuring compliance and high-quality delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers
- Own the full software lifecycle from architecture to deployment and maintenance
- Drive design and development of backend systems in C++ and frontend applications in React
- Lead development and evolution of the cloud platform
- Own software efforts for existing products and new product initiatives
- Ensure compliance with medical device standards, including documentation, validation, and verification
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver user-focused solutions
- Improve development processes, infrastructure, testing, and engineering best practices
- Support field issues and deployments with service teams
- Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on software development experience
- 3+ years of experience managing and leading engineering teams
- Strong technical background with ability to stay hands-on
- Experience developing production-grade backend and/or frontend systems
- Experience with cloud-based systems and distributed architecture
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices
- Experience integrating AI-assisted tools into development workflows
- Excellent execution and prioritization skills
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
