Lead the backend architecture for a global InsurTech & Travel-Tech platform, driving technical direction, defining standards, and ensuring high-scale performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Define engineering standards and make core architectural decisions for the backend.
- Drive code quality, performance, and scalability across development groups.
- Balance high-level system design with hands-on technical execution.
- Mentor engineering teams and partner with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to translate business goals into technical architectures.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on backend software development experience.
- 2-3 years in an Architecture or Principal Engineer role.
- Deep expertise in Node.js and NestJS.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to explain complex architectural concepts.
- High ownership and proven track record of driving complex technical challenges.
Nice to have
- Experience with Microservices, high-scale cloud architectures (AWS/GCP), and distributed systems.
