Join an application infrastructure team building backend services, shared libraries, microservice architectures, and API gateway capabilities for a cloud networking and security platform.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop complex cloud applications using microservices
- Design shared software infrastructure and common libraries for multiple teams
- Develop core backend services primarily with Java
- Build and maintain a TypeScript API gateway using GraphQL
- Automate repetitive development tasks and optimize build times
- Research technologies and develop proofs of concept
- Improve application resiliency, observability, and performance
- Document technical solutions and systems
Requirements
- 5+ years of server-side development experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Experience owning large projects from requirements gathering through production deployment
- Experience with NoSQL and relational databases
- Experience developing microservices in a cloud environment
- Proficiency with Gradle or Maven and CI tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- Experience with Kubernetes and Helm
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
Nice to have
- Experience with TypeScript and Go
- Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB
