Join a team building a large-scale, distributed, highly available in-memory database service. You will lead software development of a platform with sub-millisecond latency, leveraging open-source technologies like Valkey and Memcached. Responsibilities include low-level optimizations, asynchronous messaging, scaling, and fault tolerance. Mentorship and technical leadership are key aspects of the role.
Responsibilities
- Lead software development of a distributed in-memory storage platform with sub-millisecond latency
- Design and implement data plane features with extreme throughput and low-level optimizations
- Develop asynchronous messaging and event-based technologies
- Build real-time failure detection, auto-remediation, and horizontal/vertical scaling systems
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery
- Drive system architecture and define product features
- Mentor engineers and establish best practices
Requirements
- Experience leading an engineering team or as a tech lead
- Experience in architecture and design of new and current systems
- Professional software development experience
- Proficiency in Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Development experience within the last 3 years
Nice to have
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
