A backend engineering role focused on building a Voice AI agent for a transportation platform. You will own end-to-end backend development, integrate and deploy LLMs, and drive product initiatives for conversational AI experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of the customer-facing Voice AI agent, creating seamless conversational experiences.
- Architect and ship features across the stack with deep backend focus, building robust, scalable services for real-time AI interactions.
- Evaluate, integrate, and deploy the most up-to-date LLMs and AI providers.
- Proactively propose initiatives and conceptualize ways to make the AI agent smarter.
- Mentor team members and foster professional growth in software engineering and AI.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional full-stack experience with exceptionally strong backend engineering foundation.
- Proven experience shipping production-grade systems.
- High agency and ability to operate with ownership in ambiguous environments.
- Strong collaboration and leadership mindset with a focus on mentoring.
Nice to have
- Prior experience with Python, prompt engineering, working directly with LLM models, and building AI agents.
- Familiarity with the latest AI tools and models in the rapidly evolving market.
