Responsibilities
- Lead significant development projects end-to-end, from conception to on-time delivery within a collaborative small team.
- Act as a key technical resource, providing insightful code reviews and mentorship to fellow developers.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Engineering and team members on operational processes, daily syncs, and strategic decision-making.
- Serve as a full stakeholder for the team's deliverables, contributing to complex problem-solving and positively impacting team workflows.
- Contribute to improving team quality and engineering practices through active participation in code and design reviews.
- Seamlessly integrate into the team, actively participating in all daily operations and decision-making processes.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack development capabilities across Kotlin, Node.js, JavaScript, and Ruby.
- Demonstrated track record of leading projects from initiation to successful completion, ensuring high technical standards and timely delivery.
- Proactive approach to code review and technical guidance, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills, effectively partnering with stakeholders and team members.
- Thrives in environments that value simplicity, effective problem-solving, and a 'doer' mentality.
Nice to have
- Experience with infrastructure or backend systems critical to e-commerce or marketplace platforms.
- Familiarity with performance optimization and scalability challenges in high-traffic systems.
