Architect and build high-performance, cloud-native backend systems using Python and event-driven microservices. Collaborate with product, data, and R&D teams to deliver scalable solutions for the health industry.
Responsibilities
- Design and construct high-performance, production-grade backend systems and applicative services.
- Take end-to-end ownership of backend features from concept to production, including architectural design, testing, shipping, and monitoring.
- Partner with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and R&D teams to translate complex data pipelines and product needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, establish architectural best practices, and mentor team members.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience building, deploying, and operating large-scale, production cloud systems.
- Strong Computer Science foundations in software design, concurrency, data structures, and cost/performance trade-offs.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native, event-driven architectures and modern databases (SQL, NoSQL, vector DBs).
- Deep proficiency in Python or equivalent backend languages.
- Strong sense of personal accountability and proven track record of taking complex backend systems from zero to production.
- BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Experience building or integrating AI agents, LLM orchestration, or modern AI frameworks into production services.
- Hands-on experience setting up robust CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
- Prior exposure to modern Frontend/UI frameworks (React, TypeScript).
