Design, build, and maintain scalable billing systems handling high-volume data. Lead projects from concept to production, collaborate with stakeholders, and use AI tools to improve efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient systems for high-volume data.
- Lead projects from concept to production ensuring quality and financial integrity.
- Work on data-driven initiatives to improve performance, efficiency, and billing accuracy.
- Partner with Product and Business stakeholders to navigate technical trade-offs.
- Use AI coding tools and review AI-generated code.
- Foster best practices and high engineering standards.
Requirements
- 6+ years developing and maintaining production systems.
- Strong backend fundamentals; proficiency in Python.
- Experience owning production systems including monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Familiar with DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, observability, QA).
- Experience with AWS and storage at scale (MySQL, Snowflake, Redis).
- Proactive with passion for technical solutions impacting business.
- Strong familiarity with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor).
Nice to have
- Familiarity with NoSQL data stores such as Elasticsearch.
- Experience building data pipelines with Airflow, Kafka, Delta Lake.
- Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration.
- Background in billing/ERP systems.
