As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will own features from design to deployment, build distributed high-availability systems, and implement Zero Trust security principles for secure remote access to critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership over features, from product design to deployment, including whole feature architecture.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust secure access features, ensuring seamless integration between IT and OT networks.
- Implement and optimize scalable, high-performance gateway and proxy architectures supporting global enterprise scales.
- Partner with Product Management and Security Researchers to implement Zero Trust principles and advanced session monitoring capabilities.
- Promote best practices in code quality, security protocols, and system resilience.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in server backend design and development of production applications.
- Strong track record of building complex production applications in Python, Go, C++, or Node.js.
- Experience building distributed, high-availability, large-scale systems handling real-time traffic and data.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, SSH, RDP) and security concepts (Zero Trust, Identity Management, Encryption).
- Proficiency in utilizing AI development tools to accelerate development workflows, code generation, and problem-solving.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud-native technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience in the cybersecurity industry, specifically in remote access (VPN/ZTNA) or identity (IAM).
