Seeking a Senior AEM Backend Developer to design and maintain enterprise-grade digital experiences using Adobe Experience Manager and Java. The role involves building scalable WCM solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving technical excellence in a remote, innovation-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Java technologies.
- Build and extend AEM components, services, integrations, and administrative functionality.
- Develop and support Web Content Management (WCM) components and enterprise applications.
- Implement and maintain integrations using REST APIs and related web technologies.
- Work with AEM frameworks including JCR, Apache Sling, Apache Felix, and OSGi.
- Manage project dependencies and builds using Maven and AEM Maven archetypes.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and other technical teams to deliver end-to-end digital experiences.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, optimize application performance, and ensure code quality.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, technical documentation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Professional software development experience with a strong focus on Java.
- Solid hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Strong understanding of AEM architecture and core building blocks.
- Experience extending AEM functionality and working with administrative features.
- Expertise in developing WCM components, custom integrations, and enterprise applications.
- Practical knowledge of JCR, Apache Sling, Apache Felix, OSGi, REST, JavaScript, and JSON.
- Experience using Maven and familiarity with AEM Maven archetypes.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
- Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher English communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and collaborative mindset.
