A data infrastructure startup is seeking a Python Developer to join their core platform engineering team. You will design, build, and optimize a cloud-native SaaS platform using Python, AWS, and PostgreSQL, tackling complex data challenges in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Take key ownership of building and scaling the foundational SaaS/Cloud platform
- Hands-on backend engineering using Python within a cloud-native architecture on AWS
- Design, implement, and optimize data architecture and database interactions using PostgreSQL and other modern data stores
- Tackle complex technical challenges around cloud resource optimization, high-throughput data processing, system performance, and reliability
Requirements
- 6+ years of overall software engineering experience
- 2+ years of dedicated backend development experience in Python
- Proven hands-on development experience in AWS cloud environments
- Strong practical experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and data architecture design
Nice to have
- Background or strong interest in Big Data infrastructure, Cloud Internals, or Data Engineering
