Principal Software Engineer responsible for technical strategy and hands-on development of cloud-native SaaS and AI-powered platforms. Includes architecture leadership, mentoring, and driving innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable production-grade software solutions.
- Build and operate cloud-native services and SaaS platforms at scale.
- Apply AI technologies, LLMs, and intelligent automation to solve business challenges.
- Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and code reviews.
- Define technical vision, architecture strategy, and engineering best practices.
- Create reference architectures, technical designs, and executive-ready presentations.
- Lead technical discussions across engineering, product, and leadership teams.
- Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and identifying opportunities for adoption.
- Mentor engineers and facilitate knowledge sharing to raise the technical bar.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including large-scale distributed systems.
- 7+ years building, deploying, and operating SaaS applications in public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong expertise in cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Experience with languages such as Java, Go, Python, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with AI technologies, generative AI, LLMs, and agentic frameworks.
- Proven ability to influence technical decisions and drive architectural alignment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, AI, or Data Science.
- Node.js experience.
