Senior hands-on technical leader responsible for architecting and developing distributed systems, networking, and infrastructure for a secure access platform. Owns end-to-end technical initiatives, mentors engineers, and drives reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Own architecture of foundational platform capabilities
- Design, implement, and operate high-quality production software
- Develop distributed systems and networking capabilities
- Take end-to-end technical ownership of critical components
- Solve concurrency, scale, resilience, and performance challenges
- Promote engineering best practices and operational readiness
- Mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives
- Collaborate with Product, DevOps, Security, and QA teams
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience as senior engineer, tech lead, or architect on complex systems
- Proven experience with distributed systems, networking, or infrastructure
- Strong understanding of architecture, concurrency, availability, and performance
- Hands-on experience with Go or another systems-oriented language
- Strong networking knowledge and debugging across boundaries
- Ability to own substantial technical areas end-to-end
- Cross-functional collaboration experience
- High proficiency in English
Nice to have
- Experience with consensus algorithms like Raft or clustered systems
- Experience developing security, networking, or distributed-platform products
- Familiarity with Linux internals, Kubernetes, or cloud infrastructure
