Join a rapidly growing technology company to own the technical vision for foundational infrastructure. You will operate across R&D, tackling architectural challenges in data modeling, integration, enterprise readiness, and cost efficiency. This role reports to the VP of R&D and serves as a technical force-multiplier for engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Architect robust, high-performance, and scalable systems across the entire platform.
- Lead the design of resilient, performant, and maintainable core infrastructure for the SaaS ecosystem.
- Design a more robust, performant, and generic integration layer to make third-party integrations more scalable and easier to build.
- Architect high-throughput data and messaging pipelines for real-time data ingestion and event-driven architectures.
- Redesign and optimize the data modeling layer, including hierarchies, entity types, and relationships, to improve flexibility and scale.
- Architect a comprehensive data analytics pipeline for large-scale data source processing and aggregated metric calculations.
- Design effective engineering metrics delivery pipelines for measuring developer productivity and platform health.
- Drive technical planning, tracking, and execution of cross-functional enterprise initiatives including FedRAMP compliance and SSDLC practices.
- Design and implement robust security frameworks aligned with enterprise customer requirements.
- Conduct deep-dive root cause analyses on production incidents and drive structural improvements to system reliability.
- Design and implement a comprehensive end-to-end load and performance testing ecosystem.
- Analyze cloud infrastructure spend and identify architectural changes that optimize cost without compromising performance.
- Challenge existing storage and infrastructure decisions to ensure cost-effective data management.
- Periodically review and recommend technologies, SDKs, and platforms to support evolving architectural standards.
- Mentor and uplevel technical leads across R&D teams, raising the bar for engineering quality and architectural thinking.
- Push for the adoption of AI-SDLC practices within R&D to improve engineering velocity.
- Participate in senior technical hiring to help attract world-class engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in architect, staff, or principal roles.
- Proven experience architecting and scaling enterprise-grade, multi-tenant B2B cloud SaaS services.
- Deep software development experience across multiple languages, with strong proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript, Go, Python, and React.
- Extensive experience with diverse database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and event-driven/message-streaming architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, etc.).
- Strong background in multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), modern DevOps practices, and Platform Engineering principles.
- Deeply comfortable building with AI-first principles, leveraging AI in both product architecture and the development process.
- Hands-on use of AI tooling to optimize internal software development lifecycle processes.
- Proven ability to drive technical direction, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure alignment across multiple teams without direct management authority.
- Fluent in Hebrew and English.
Nice to have
- Experience creating internal developer platform or agentic SDLC solutions for large R&D organizations.
- Hands-on experience with data lakes, data warehouses, analytics pipelines, BI tools, and CDC mechanisms.
- Experience building production-grade AI features, including agentic systems and LLM-based workflows.
