Hands-On Software Engineering Team Lead

Lead a team of 2–3 engineers while remaining highly involved in developing internal tools, testing frameworks, infrastructure platforms, and high-performance APIs for enterprise data systems. The role is based in central Tel Aviv with a hybrid schedule of one work-from-home day per week.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 2–3 software engineers
- Design, develop, and scale internal development tools, testing frameworks, and infrastructure platforms
- Build and maintain high-performance APIs and interfaces for storage systems and cloud providers
- Own system design, implementation, and debugging from end to end
- Define architecture and collaborate across engineering teams
- Remain highly hands-on with Python, Linux, Docker, Git, and storage technologies
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience with Python
- At least 1 year of software engineering management or team leadership experience
- Extensive practical experience working in Linux environments
- Experience developing infrastructure, internal tools, or DevOps tools
- Experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD
- Strong leadership, technical mentoring, and cross-functional communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with storage systems
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with high-scale distributed systems
