Build AI systems for personalized shopping at scale. Design and develop AI-powered features using LLMs and generative AI, processing real-time customer signals. Collaborate with product and science teams to deliver personalized recommendations and AI-native discovery for millions.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production AI features at scale
- Deliver end-to-end solutions focusing on maintainability, scalability, and reliability
- Collaborate with Product and Science to define experiences, run experiments, and iterate on data
- Develop AI-powered experiences using LLMs and generative AI, such as personalized recommendations and knowledge-driven features
- Define measurement strategies, including analytics and experiment configurations, to track engagement and retention
- Make sound technical decisions in ambiguous problem spaces
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, C++, C#)
- Full SDLC experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations
- Experience contributing to system architecture and design, with focus on reliability and scaling
Nice to have
- Experience building server-side rendered web experiences (SSR) and performance-oriented UI rendering
- Experience with A/B testing, analytics instrumentation, and metrics-driven iteration
- Familiarity with AI/ML integration and generative AI applications
- End-to-end SDLC ownership, including operations, monitoring, and incident response
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices
