Senior Database Administrator
Manage and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases for an enterprise-scale product, supporting reliability, scalability, performance, and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Develop SQL and write complex queries.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance.
- Diagnose and resolve production performance issues.
- Analyze execution plans and improve query efficiency.
- Support application-level database development and infrastructure performance engineering.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA.
- Experience with SQL development, database maintenance, and performance optimization.
- Expertise writing complex queries and tuning database performance.
- Strong understanding of data structures, indexing strategies, Service Broker, and SQL Server architecture.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving high CPU utilization, deadlocks, locks, blocking, and timeouts.
- Experience with SQL Server monitoring and performance analysis tools.
- Ability to analyze and optimize execution plans.
- Good written and reading English communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with Development, QA, System, and Support teams.
Nice to have
- Experience working directly with customers and troubleshooting production environments.
- Familiarity with .NET environments.
- Experience using AI-powered tools for SQL development, database management, or infrastructure operations.
