Hands-on Senior SQL Server DBA role with ownership over complex production environments. Responsibilities include performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, database security, automation, and cloud migration. Collaborate with R&D, DevOps, and engineering teams. Hybrid work model in Givat Shmuel, Israel.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex SQL Server production environments.
- Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Implement and maintain high availability solutions including Always On, replication, and failover clustering.
- Execute database migrations, upgrades, and new implementations.
- Ensure backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and database security.
- Automate and improve DBA processes.
- Work with cloud-based environments, primarily AWS.
- Define and enforce database standards and best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on SQL Server DBA experience.
- Strong expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, and performance tuning.
- Experience supporting critical production environments.
- Strong knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery, backup and recovery.
- Experience with cloud environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS RDS and EC2.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
