A leading national organization is looking for a GIS System Operator to operate and maintain GIS and asset information systems, ensure data accuracy, generate reports, and troubleshoot issues. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders and conducting asset surveys. Requires 2+ years of experience with information systems, including GIS.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain GIS and asset information systems
- Enter, update, and improve data across organizational systems
- Generate reports and analyze data from computerized systems
- Compare data across systems, identify discrepancies, and ensure data accuracy
- Maintain and retrieve system documentation and updates
- Troubleshoot system issues with internal teams and software vendors
- Collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization
- Conduct asset surveys at organizational sites
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and data quality
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience operating information systems, including at least 1 year working with GIS systems
- Experience generating reports and analyzing system data
- Experience with data cleansing and data quality processes
- Experience troubleshooting system issues and working with software vendors
- Academic degree, Practical Engineering diploma, or Technician certification, preferably in Information Systems, Technology, Geography, or a related field, with 2 years of relevant experience; or 300+ hours of relevant professional training with 3 years of experience; or 4 years of experience implementing or supporting GIS systems
