A fintech company is seeking a Database Reliability Engineer. The role is 70-80% DBA with DevOps tasks, managing data infrastructures on-premise and on AWS. Technologies include MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch. Fully remote Linux environment. You will handle architecture, upgrades, and optimization, collaborating closely with developers.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all data infrastructures across on-premise and AWS environments
- Perform database administration (70-80%) and DevOps tasks
- Work extensively with data technologies such as MySQL, Redis, InfluxDB, and Elasticsearch
- Design and implement database architecture, upgrades, and performance optimization
- Collaborate closely with developers to understand requirements and table structures
- Ensure reliability and availability of critical production database systems
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience as a DBA in large-scale, critical production environments
- Proficiency with MySQL, Redis, InfluxDB (experience with at least one is required)
- Strong Linux system administration skills
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools or AI agents
Nice to have
- Relevant academic degree — significant advantage
- Experience with ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch
- Experience in DevOps and database management in on-premise + cloud environments
