Senior Policy Researcher

A civic organization seeks a full-time policy researcher to develop data-driven research, comparative policy reviews, position papers, and organizational knowledge resources. The hybrid role is based near Tel Aviv HaShalom railway station, with three office days and two remote days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Write policy reviews and position papers using qualitative and quantitative research
  • Monitor policy reports and documents from Israel and abroad and identify implications and opportunities
  • Create practical tools such as metrics, dashboards, and games
  • Manage organizational knowledge infrastructure, including fact-checking, databases, and AI systems
  • Develop social media content for scripts, articles, and opinion columns

Requirements

  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to collect, process, and analyze complex information from multiple sources
  • Experience working with diverse databases, preferably public databases
  • Knowledge of quantitative research methods and statistics
  • Proficiency in at least one statistical software package such as SPSS, SAS, Stata, or R
  • Ability to independently drive projects from initiation to completion in a dynamic environment
  • Strong proficiency with technology tools, particularly artificial intelligence tools, and ability to produce high-quality outputs

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Israeli public systems, economics, and public policy design
  • Experience with programming languages
  • Experience working with public databases such as Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics and Data.gov.il
