Drive machine learning capabilities in a last-mile delivery SaaS platform, owning the full model lifecycle from research and prototyping to production deployment and monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Identify, research, prototype, and validate new ML opportunities before engineering investment
- Communicate model logic and tradeoffs clearly to engineers, product, and stakeholders
- Own full model lifecycle: development, production deployment, drift monitoring, and retraining
Requirements
- 3+ years experience as a Data Scientist with Python, SQL, and standard data science toolkit
- BSc in mathematics, computer science, or statistics
- Experience building prediction and clustering models using supervised and unsupervised methods
- Proven ability to own algorithm/data science lifecycle from idea to production
- Experience running models in production, including drift analysis and alerting
- Familiarity with MLOps lifecycle
- Comfortable with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
- Working knowledge of GenAI beyond coding assistants, including prompt engineering and LLM solutions
Nice to have
- Experience with routing and navigation algorithms
- Experience with Vertex AI or equivalent cloud ML platform
- Experience engineering geospatial/location-based features
